Your role:

As a Raw Materials Quality & Safety Specialist you will be part of Woolrich’s Supply Chain Department reporting directly to our Product Stewardship Coordinator. You shall coordinate with various teams within Woolrich such as Product Development, Material Sourcing, R&D, Quality Control and Production planning  with the aim of defining and pursuing  a testing program to ensure all bulk production raw materials  are compliant in accordance with our high quality standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with other departments to analyze all bulk raw materials and plan a seasonal testing program, results shall be shared on regular basis within the supply chain team
  • Constant monitoring of testing program and promote on time performance and make sure that any non -conformities must be addressed swiftly in order to reduce impact on production lead times
  • Frequent contact with selected labs and detect when shadow tests are required
  • Assess bulk production fabric lots for quality conformity and tone uniformity
  • Coordinate with suppliers for the execution of tests
  • Collect materials, filling out relevant forms and send them to the laboratories
  • Keep an organized physical library of all shipment samples received in production from suppliers
  • Consult and evaluate reports received and insert data in internal library
  • Share results with internal departments of the company and with suppliers
  • Continuous study and learning of regulations, methods of analysis and minimum requirements
  • Study and share with internal departments on the main issues of quality and compliance issues.
  • Assistance and support to the direct manager on sustainability and compliance issues
  • Establish SMS and Bulk production care labels Content based on fabric, design and construction analysis

What you will bring to the team:

  • Degree or studies in textile, raw materials or similar disciplines
  • At least 2years in a similar role in the textile clothing sector
  • Solid knowledge of fabrics and ability to interpret laboratory tests
  • Garment construction knowledge
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with an attitude towards problem- solving
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast - paced environment
  • Ability to deliver results under strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Package and PLM systems
  • Attention to details, precision and capacity to distinguish color tones.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
