Your role:

As our Fabrics & Research Specialist, you will join Woolrich’s R&D Team in Bologna, reporting directly to the R&D Manager. You have a broad knowledge of fabrics and trims globally and proven experience in working with international design teams.


 Your day to day in the team:
 
  • Research - Provide innovation and trend guidance to design and maintain an awareness of the latest technical development of fabrics and trim focalized on man material
  • Innovation and Conceptualization - Deliver inspiration, style & product concept boards, identify the best fabric/trims to present to the designer and guide them with mood boards to follow.
  • Evaluate the capabilities of material supplier
  • Facilitate agile decision making on material review and revision
  • Review and maintain the department's fabric library to ensure this is kept up to date
  • Ensure the brand aesthetic and creative vision is achieved
  • technical fabric knowledge and competence
  • Travelling to attend fabric and trade shows, visit to vendor and mills

What you will bring to the team:
 
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within speciality, multinational or trading company, fabric technical competence, preferably on OTW fabric world
  • Experience in working with international design teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Fluency in English
