Your role:

As our Fabrics & Research Specialist, you will join Woolrich’s R&D Team in Bologna, reporting directly to the R&D Manager. You have a broad knowledge of fabrics and trims globally and proven experience in working with international design teams.

Your day to day in the team:

Research - Provide innovation and trend guidance to design and maintain an awareness of the latest technical development of fabrics and trim focalized on man material
Innovation and Conceptualization - Deliver inspiration, style & product concept boards, identify the best fabric/trims to present to the designer and guide them with mood boards to follow.
Evaluate the capabilities of material supplier
Facilitate agile decision making on material review and revision
Review and maintain the department's fabric library to ensure this is kept up to date
Ensure the brand aesthetic and creative vision is achieved
technical fabric knowledge and competence
Travelling to attend fabric and trade shows, visit to vendor and mills

What you will bring to the team:

3+ years of experience in a similar role within speciality, multinational or trading company, fabric technical competence, preferably on OTW fabric world
Experience in working with international design teams
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Negotiation and influencing skills
Problem solving attitude
Strong proficiency in Microsoft office
Fluency in English
